About Me

I created Poole Bay Pilates over 17 years ago and have been teaching within the fitness industry for 23 years. 

As an experienced pilates and fitness teacher I bring a wealth of knowledge to my clients to help them move better. My mantra is “good movement creates good movement”. I am aware of being more resistant to injury now than I was 25 years ago!

Many people join for back problems or a general feeling that they need to move more, these aims can certainly be achieved. I would suggest that some aspects of our bodies can take more than 6 weeks to change, bad posture over many years will take commitment to longer term change but well being and relaxation is much quicker achieved. Many people notice good differences, maybe sleeping more soundly, in a short time i.e within 6 weeks.

I believe that a small class setting is the way to ensure good understanding of the pilates method. If you wish to discuss what we do please send me an email or just give me a call.

I am so very pleased to have many of my original class members still with me. All classes began at beginner level and I now have different levels as my original clients progressed and we changed their group titles accordingly.

I am Body Control® Pilates trained, this means I have completed an 18 month initial training in order to teach from beginner to Intermediate level, I then undertook Advanced training and have pregnancy pilates as an extra qualification.

Every year, as part of my on-going membership, I undertake yearly training (CPD) to keep my knowledge up to date and relevant. Additionally, I am a Level 4 teacher (the highest level within fitness and Pilates currently). Although it is possible to train to teach pilates within a couple of weekends, by choosing a Body Control® trained teacher a high level of quality is assured.

My most recent training is in the ever popular pilates reformer. I have fallen in love with this new aspect to my teaching and I am offering lessons on a 1-2-1 basis. As a special intro price I am offering these at £40, which is the same as my matwork classes.
