Where are you located and is there parking nearby?

Do you serve clients in Bournemouth and surrounding areas?

Yes — many of our clients travel from Bournemouth, Broadstone, and Wimborne to attend classes. Online Zoom sessions are also available if you prefer to join from home.

What type of Pilates do you teach?

We teach matwork, reformer, and hybrid Pilates classes for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Each class is small, personalised, and focused on safe, effective movement.

Getting Started

Who is Pilates for?

Anyone & everyone! (well nearly, health screening is always completed first) Pilates is a wonderful way to start a new fitness regime. We don't get hot and sweaty but we do change our muscle shape and strength. Many people attend pilates because they just enjoy it and have no particular wish to move into fitness, others have a focused aim, such as running a 10K race. Just getting up each day without aching muscles is a really good outcome.

Is Pilates suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Our beginner classes are ideal for anyone new to Pilates. We focus on correct technique, posture, and controlled movement to build confidence safely.

What should I bring to class?

Bring a mat, a small towel, and water. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. No shoes needed — most clients go barefoot or wear grip socks.

Can I just turn up on the night?

No, there are limited spaces so booking in advance is vital.  A course is the only way I work as it makes progress easier and it does take about 6 weeks to 'get' what Pilates is about.

How can I book a class?

Simply visit our Contact page or contact us directly via email or phone. Spaces are limited, so booking early is recommended.

How much do classes cost?

Group classes start from £11 per session, and 1-2-1 reformer sessions are available at £45. Introductory offers and course packages are also available — see our website for current pricing.

Health & Results

Can Pilates help with back pain or injury recovery?

Yes. Pilates is widely used in rehab because it strengthens the deep core muscles, improves posture, and promotes joint stability. With a background in rehabilitation, we can adapt exercises to support your individual needs.

How long before I notice results from Pilates?

Most clients feel stronger and more mobile after just a few sessions. Noticeable results in posture, tone, and flexibility usually appear within 6–8 weeks with regular practice.

Is Pilates good for men as well as women?

Definitely. Pilates benefits everyone — it builds strength, mobility, and body control. We welcome men and women of all ages and abilities.

Can I do Pilates if I’m pregnant or post-natal?

Yes — with appropriate modifications. Please contact us before joining so we can tailor the class safely to your stage of pregnancy or recovery.

What’s the difference between Reformer and Mat Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses a spring-based machine to add resistance and support, ideal for rehab or increased challenge. Matwork Pilates uses bodyweight and props, focusing on control and core strength. Both complement each other beautifully.

Practical & Online

Do you offer online or Zoom classes?

Yes — our live Zoom classes allow you to join from home or while travelling. These sessions follow the same structure and coaching as in-studio classes.
